A big Clydesdale horse that took a tumble down a hillside in the East Bay last year was reunited with the firefighters who helped save him. Today Daniel, the Clydesdale, is a healthy horse but a few months ago he was really in a terrible condition after tumbling down a hillside.
As he is a Clydesdale, he is much bigger than a normal sized horse and tougher to rescue. For the first time since that night when he suffered the accident Daniel reunited with the firemen of the Alameda County Fire Department who spent hours hoisting him up to safety. Daniel spent weeks recovering at the UC Davis Large animal Intensive Care Unit. Ryan Davis says, “It wasn’t easy with him especially due to the fact that he had an injured leg. We were just hoping for the best and obviously, today is a great day.” Watch the video for more!
